In the early 1980s, Kurstjens started its transport division. For many years, municipal sewage sludge was transported to final processors on behalf of various water authorities.
Like earthmoving, transport is no longer a core activity today, but it remains an important supporting branch of the company. After all, for dredging, sludge dewatering, and soil remediation, it is crucial to organize the storage and removal of the various streams as efficiently as possible. This is, of course, best achieved when transport can be carried out in-house.
The supply and removal of equipment are also largely managed internally. Kurstjens is still able to undertake transport projects on behalf of third parties. To this end, Kurstjens has access to around 40 liquid-tight roll-off containers equipped with tarpaulins, as well as multiple container combinations.
